Welcome to the St.Matthew’s R.C. High School website. I hope that the site will provide you with lots of information about what is happening at the school and give you an insight into the school as a thriving, Catholic community.
At St. Matthew's we aim for the highest achievement at every level and encourage all members of the school community to realise their full potential. We expect and receive high standards of behaviour and dress, which help to develop a strong sense of community and self esteem. We have an excellent reputation for sport and performing arts.
On 21st Setember 2009 the new school buildings were formally opened by Bishop Terence Brain, Bishop of Salford. The buildings provide students and staff with facilities to deliver high quality teaching and learning in all areas of the curriculum.
It is an exciting time to be a member of the school community and we look forward to building on our already considerable achievements.
